Cricket Festival 2007
BACA will again be celebrating Independence Day by conducting its an annual 4th
of July Cricket Festival. This year the Festival will be an action-packed one day event on the 4th itself. And to add to the excitement, the event will be conducted at the beautiful cricket grounds of Kirigin Cellars, 11550 Watsonville Road. Gilroy, CA 95020, located just outside of Gilroy.
Format:
All BACA summer teams have been assigned into four groups. Each of these groups will produce one team to play in the Festival. As per tradition, the teams will be named BACA Blue, BACA Red, BACA Green & BACA Yellow. Each team will get to wear color shirts matching their name but all players will be wearing white pants. The color assignment to the teams will be done at the ground on a lottery basis. White balls will be used for all the matches. Each team will get to play once against other three teams during the tournament. The matches will be of Twenty20 format and the Standard Twenty20 rules will be followed. Maximum time allowed to complete an inning will be 90 minutes.
